In conjunction with the Embassy of France in Australia and Swinburne University, the Nicolas Baudin Pacific Internships program will give you the opportunity to gain professional work experience in your area of study, giving your future CV a standout experience to show future employers.

Program details

Location: Nouméa, New Caledonia

Dates: November 2025 - February 2026 (exact dates to be confirmed)

Duration: 12 weeks

Academic credit: International Internship Unit 25CP or other course-related experiential units

Funding:

  • Up to A$2,500 towards flight costs, provided by the Embassy of France in Australia
  • A$2,500 Swinburne Abroad Travel Grants available
  • A$4,122 or A$8,245 OS-HELP Loans available for eligible students

Note: Existing French language skills are not mandatory, but are helpful
